Launch of Papyrus-Web

Credit: CEA-List
Papyrus, the open-source model-based systems engineering platform, is now available as a web application. Used in numerous industrials projects, Papyrus serves as the foundation of a range of systems engineering tools, including modelling, simulation, requirement management, and more. Today, CEA-List is releasing a new version of the platform – still open source – designed for web use.

A UML modeler tailored to the businesses needs

Like Papyrus, Papyrus-Web is a UML-compliant modeler that supports the concept of profiles. It is designed to be extensible, configurable and adaptable to meet the needs of businesses. It is an open-source solution, whose public part benefits everyone.

Papyrus-Web offers many advantages for users:

  • Ease of use: Papyrus-Web requires no installation. It runs on a server available from any web browser.
  • True collaborative tools: Papyrus-Web allows multiple users to work simultaneously on the same model. Whether teams are spread across different locations or working side-by-side, everyone remains synchronized, with changes instantly visible to all stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Papyrus-Web can be extended to meet business needs (UML profiles, new views, etc). Users can adapt the modelling language to their specific domain.
  • User-friendly interface.

For this project, CEA-List partnered with Obeo to combine its UML language expertise with Obeo’s Sirius-Web, modelling tool, leveraging all its advanced features, to offer a seamless and highly efficient modelling experience.
