The past year has served as a reminder that some crises, climate, energy, geostrategic, are enduring. The year was also marked by the spectacular progression of AI and all the legitimate questions it raises about our relationship to science and technology. In times of transition like these, research and innovation are more important than ever. But if technology is to continue to drive progress, we must invent a new model, one that is compatible with sustainable growth and that respects our planet.

In 2023 our people demonstrated their strong, ongoing commitment to developing digital technologies that respond to the major challenges facing our economies and societies today. Our innovations—and successful transfers of new technologies—in areas like the Factory of the Future, holistic digital twins, artificial intelligence, and digital trust are helping make France’s and Europe’s industrial ecosystems more competitive.

Bringing businesses the new technologies they need

Our R&D programs are organized around three main themes: artificial intelligence, digital trust, and the Factory of the Future.

We believe that an open innovation ecosystem is the best way to bring our partners state-of-the-art digital technology. We innovate sustainably and responsibly and transfer new technologies to businesses, including through research with partners from around the globe and involvement in a significant number of multi-partner European research projects each year.
